Villa Mar de Piedra is a unique property on the island. It enjoys an exceptional location on the centre of a ridge with traditional terraces in the south of La Gomera and offers breath-taking panoramic views of the sea and on clear days one can see the island of el Hierro at the horizon.

With its pool located in front of the house, the beautiful garden and its special location on an extremely quiet place, this property fascinates everyone.

The house is facing south-southwest and has a modern H-shape design and a flat roof. In the centre of the house you will find the living room with an attached, glazed porch with sliding doors and roof. On the sides we find three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a pantry and a large kitchen with a separate side entrance. Behind the house there is a storage room. From the porch you can access the terrace, the solarium and the heated pool which is just in front of the porch. A beautiful garden area surrounds the terrace and the house, here we find different types of endemic trees, perennials and cactus, as well as different fruit trees and ornaments. A programmable automatic irrigation system provides the garden with the necessary watering.

The plot of land has 10,074 m², of which only 2,800 m² are used. The centre of the hill has a gentle slope and is arranged in the form of traditional natural stone terraces.

Location: The property is situated close to the small hamlet of Arguayoda, in the south-southwest of La Gomera, about 626 m above sea level. A road provides direct access to the house, electricity and running water.  The nearest shops, cafes and restaurants are located in the village of Alajeró, 15 minutes by car. Playa de Santiago is just 30 min away by car, here you can find beautiful beaches and shops, a fishing port and a 18-hole golf court. Garajonay National Park is a 25-minute drive away. From the house you can start nice hiking trails.

Equipment: The house is fully furnished and shall be acquired as it is. One of the three bedrooms has two single-beds, the other two are equipped with double beds. Each bedroom has a big built-in wardrobe. Both bathrooms have a shower, a toilet, a double sink and a bidet. The kitchen is beautifully decorated and fully equipped with a washing machine, a dishwasher and a multifunction oven. The living room and bedrooms have air conditioning with both heating and cooling functions.

The glazed porch, located right in front of the living room, has a translucent polycarbonate roof and 10 mm glass sliding doors. When opening both the roof and the sliding doors, the porch turns into an outdoor terrace-living-room. The porch regulates the temperature inside the house and helps maintaining the optimal room temperature, which makes air conditioning unnecessary on cool winter days.

The house’s domestic hot water supply runs by means of a thermosolar system, supported by electricity in case of having several days in a row without sun (which is rather rare). Another thermosolar system provides hot water to the pool, which enables bathing most of the time also in Autumn and Winter. The pool has a thermal cover that can be rolled up in order to avoid heat loss when not in use and during the night.

The house is equipped with satellite TV and fast internet WIFI connection, as well as good mobile phone signal.
